Davion Has Been (un)Officially Sworn In!!

Davion is a great reader, and often times when I'm working at writing, he will sit and read. So the other day, as I'm burning up the keys on my laptop, not paying him much attention, he began to read aloud.

The Spider-Man Handbook: The Ultimate Training Manual Quirk Books"I, Davion Ruffin, being of sound mind and body acknowledge that I am over the age of majority and have the right to contract in my own name and release this charge and covenant . . . "

What the Sam Hill???  Immediately my focus changes and my fingers stop typing and I look up. The boy sounds like he's swearing in to the US Marine Corp or something.

"What are you reading?" I ask with a single raised brow.

"My Spider-Man Handbook," he says.

This book is too funny!  As Davion is a lover of Spider-Man (like many boys his age) Clay and I knew he would enjoy this book.  It describes everything a kid would need to know and learn to be just like Spider-Man, or the Super Hero of his/her choosing.

Davion has learned how to:
- How Crawl up a Wall (vertically and horizontally)
- How to Sling a Web
- How to Develop Spider-Sense
- How to Design and Build a Costume (the book is against capes! LOL)
- How to Swing from Building to Building
- How to Stop a Getaway Car
- How to Maintain a Secret Identity

And a whole bunch of other stuff.  He has had the book for about a year and a half.  I guess he felt he was ready to take on the creed to become a Super Hero!!

Call him if you need rescuing!
